MAXCO Chain Extra Capacity Roller Chains: Strength and Superior Resistance

Extra capacity roller chains deliver value by enabling equipment to carry more load (or absorb more shock) with fewer line failures and less overall downtime.

MAXCO Chain’s Double Capacity roller chains have twice as many link plates as standard single strand roller chains, making them twice as strong. They operate on standard single-strand sprockets with hardened teeth. Triple and Quad Capacity roller chains are available, but require special sprockets.

Extra capacity roller chains are mainly designed for high-load hoists, pull down and other tension linkage applications. They are stronger than Super Series roller chains and are available in both ANSI and British Standard sizes.

MAXCO Chain’s extra capacity roller chain provides insurance for heavy and shock-prone applications – enabling more load capacity, fewer failures, longer life, and lower overall cost of ownership.

Rated Working Load for Extra Capacity Roller Chains

The rated working load for extra capacity roller chains is related to the linear chain speed.
