The MEGA Chain’s unique design offers exceptional strength and improved wear resistance when compared to conventional stainless steel roller chains. The unique labyrinth seal design and larger bearing area help prevent abrasives from penetrating the chain joint, which significantly improves wear performance in challenging applications.

Unique Construction Improves Strength and Wear Life

The MAXCO MEGA Chain features a unique dual-function link plate construction in which inside and outside link plates work together to improve roller chain strength and wear life.

  1. The “cap” portion of the outer plate engages in the flanged portion of the inside plates under load to significantly improve both ultimate and fatigue strength. These chains possess ultimate strength ratings that challenge even the best premium carbon steel brands.
  2. This construction provides a labyrinth seal that helps protect the pin/bushing wear area from abrasive particles and debris while allowing the lubricant penetration. Along with a larger pin/bushing bearing area, this construction improves wear performance by up to 50%.
