We are pleased to announce that effective January 20, 2020, Mr. Rex Davis will join Maxco Maxco, Ltd. as “Senior Director of Customer Service and Supply Chain Management”.
Mr. Davis brings 25+ years of supply chain management, contract negotiations, logistics and continuous improvement experience in various industries, including industrial distribution, hi-tech and dot-com companies prior to joining the Maxco Maxco team.
In 2004, he left the hi-tech industry and moved into the industrial distribution industry at IBT Industrial Solutions in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, where he was formally the Vice President of Supply Chain Management, Warehouse and Aerospace Division. Rex has worked for IBM, Solectron and a dot-com company. He was involved with worldwide operations, including Europe, Latin America, and Australia. His various responsibilities have included sales, supply chain management, business development, Six Sigma, LEAN, ISO, project, risk and contract management, logistics, strategic planning, and marketing. He was on the board of directors for the BSA from 2010 and was the chairman of the Supply Chain and Technology Committee until he decided to exit the industry in September of 2019. He was also involved in the PTDA for many years.
His most recently worked for Kaman Industrial Technologies as the Senior Director of Inventory and Purchasing from May 2015 to September 2019, where he and his team managed $750M+ a year of inventory and purchasing for five distribution centers and 200+ locations in the industrial distribution industry.
A native of Alabama, Rex was educated in Mississippi and resided in California, Tennessee and Kansas prior to relocating to the Atlanta area. Rex is also a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a LEAN coordinator.
Rex will lead and work to improve our Customer Service team, work with our supply chain partners and help develop better tools to improve our overall customer experience.
